GABRIELLA SPITZER
Jewish, queer, and environmental art
I am a visual and textile artist and Torah scholar based in Boston, MA. I work as an environmental planner, and my art reflects the ways I celebrate and grapple with environmental, Jewish, and queer topics. I work in silk paints on silk, acrylics on canvas, watercolors on paper, and mixed media. My art is often a midrash on Jewish texts or on the natural world.
I am the author and artist of Haggadah Min HaMeitzar, a traditional, queer, and environmentalist haggadah for Passover featuring original commentary through text and art.
